Megan Patnaik

Senior Project Architect

Megan Panaik is a quiet force, seamlessly applying her sharp design instincts to projects of all types and scales. Whether it’s a large public park master plan, a performance venue, a cozy studio addition, a custom entry bench, or the detail of a tile edge, Megan translates clients’ visions into clear design intent that comes to life in built form.

Her design journey began at UNC Greensboro, where she studied Interior Architecture, and continued at NC State University’s College of Design, where she earned her Master of Architecture and received the prestigious David Allen Company Fellowship Scholarship. While at NC State, Megan focused on community-based design, collaborating with the Home Environments Design Initiative. She also served as the lead designer for Builders of Hope, a Raleigh nonprofit, where she created the State Street Village master plan and designed its first 12 homes.

With decades of diverse experience spanning residential design, commercial interiors, construction management, and community-focused projects, Megan’s commitment to design extends beyond her professional work. She has served on the Chapel Hill Appearance Committee and the NC Modernists advisory board, driven by her passion for building stronger communities through thoughtful design.
